Great piece! I appreciate the hard look here at the resilience word (cousin to sustainability, also in need of a ferocious take down). This part, hmmm..."That civilization and its mechanisms are now collapsing. When they are gone, our work is not to be resilient and recover, but to accept and be transformed." From my vantage point, when they are gone, we are all gone. So maybe what you are meaning with "accept and be transformed" is "die and move on" as our work? Thanks for the exploration, David!

Fantastic, David! Thank you!

I’ve recently been noodling on the connection between resilience and acceptance, since its core to the title of our free 9-week course. (Shameless plug. Sorry.) But, seriously, your insights are inspiring and grounding! For me, we are more resilient precisely when we learn to “accept the things we cannot change.” 🙏🔥

This was a good segue to an article of discovering, and accepting, our own unshod unfashioned nature in ourselves that transforms to a different level.
